Creating a Digital Art Portfolio Website on ‘Adobe Portfolio’
For a while now I have wanted to experiment with the Adobe Portfolio website builder which comes with my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
Today I launched my new art and design portfolio website using Adobe Portfolio. It is still a work in progress but but you can check it out here: https://ellieb.myportfolio.com/
Features I liked (pros):
It hooks into my already set-up Behance portfolio for my website design and digital design work (I didn't have to load all those case studies again, brilliant!).
I also really loved the idea that I could bring together both my creative portfolio or art and web design work together using the photo grid widget in the builder which is quick and easy to use on collection pages.
It's fast to build a sleek minimal modern portfolio website
The themes available are modern
There are lots of social media icon links to add (including Medium)
It integrates with Adobe Lightroom too
Areas of improvement (cons):
The embed code functionality is limited to a small range of iframe code only
The form builder is very simple
There aren’t too many themes to pick from (however I did like how modern and image focussed many of them were)
The website page builder is very limited
However, I would recommend Adobe Portfolio overall as it provides all you need to build a sleek portfolio website to showcase your professional work in a minimalist and fast way. All in all my favourite feature is utilising the Behance integration so you don't have to load all your project case studies again. This is a massive timesaver!
